lolaA leading cultural authority and seasoned media veteran, Lola Ogunnaike has built her decade-long journalism career on a winning combination of onscreen charisma, interview savvy, and creative vision. She has traveled the globe as a writer and a television personality, covering key events in entertainment and popular culture and interviewing an array of luminaries, among them Michelle Obama and Sting.

She currently hosts Arise Entertainment 360, a daily culture and entertainment series that airs on Sky TV and available on BET CENTRIC. Arise 360 is part of Arise News, a network seen in over 120 million homes in more than 50 countries throughout the world, including Europe, the Middle East and Africa. She is also a valued contributor for the Today Show, regularly bringing her vivacious charm and encyclopedic knowledge of all things pop culture to the number one morning program.

Before joining Arise and the Today Show, Ogunnaike worked as an entertainment reporter for CNN’s flagship show, “American Morning,” where she covered the inauguration of President Obama, Academy Awards, Grammy Awards, and many other style, trend and fashion stories. Prior to joining CNN, she spent five years as an Arts & Leisure and Style reporter at the New York Times, lending her trademark acuity to a range of trend, fashion, and culture pieces focusing on everything from Lee Daniels to the Blue Man Group.

She has also worked as a reporter at the New York Daily News and as a contributing writer for Vibe and Rolling Stone. Her articles have also appeared in Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, New York Magazine, InStyle, USA Today, Glamour and Food & Wine. In 2010, Ogunnaike’s work was featured in the annual “Best Music Writing” anthology and in May 2007, she was named one of Ebony magazine’s “150 Most Influential Blacks in America.
